She was born as Dianna Fuemana to her Canadian Unfortunately, immigrant parents in New Zealand do not yet have information about their parents. It is not known if she is an only child or if she has one or more siblings. She is a New Zealand citizen and black.
For her education, she was a student of Henderson High School where she participated in various school productions; Eager to continue her education, she joined the University of Auckland where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts upon graduation in 2005. After years of honing her acting skills, Dianna Fuemana produced her theatrical production in 1999 titled Mapaki, which means broken in Niue. The performance told the real-life story of a woman from Niue who lived in a toxic marriage where she was always beaten by her husband, making her the first-ever screenwriter from New Zealand to have merged the Niue way of life and of New Zealanders. Following the success of her solo project that she has as Lead Character, Dianna Fuemana was honored with a Chapman Tripp Theater Awards nomination for Best Writer and Best Upcoming Actress of the Year. She toured across the United States and Greece only reinterpreting scenes from her project.
At the end of his tour, Fuemana released his second play entitled vive le vent in 2001 and released his third play, The Packer, as a student at the University of Auckland. The play gained worldwide recognition and was produced theatrically in various countries.
In 2006, she was offered a residency at the Pangea World Theater in Minneapolis, USA, and released a mini-biography play called Falemalama – a theater story of how to arrive in New Zealand. She then continued touring in the late 2000s, touring North America and various festivals.
Dianna Fuemana was the writer for TV series like Interrogation and Good Hands. She also wrote a screenplay for the American film commission and was awarded the US Screenwriting Internship Fellowship in 2012 after completing her internship with Killer Films in New York. His first short, Funny Day Sunday, premiered at the New Zealand International Film Festival in Auckland in July 2017.
